FITYFIT ("we", "our", "the app") is a free fitness and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Data we collect

Account info: your email address, used to sign in and sync your data across devices.
Fitness data: workouts, sets/reps/weights, activity logs (steps, active minutes, calories burned), body measurements you choose to log, and personal records.
Food logs: meals you log manually, search, or scan with the camera, including estimated calories and macros.
Step count: read from your device's step sensor (Android) to power your daily activity goal and step challenges, only with your permission.
Profile details: age, weight, height, goals, and training experience, if you choose to provide them — used to personalize macro suggestions and AI coach advice.
Photos: if you use the camera food-scan feature, the photo is sent to our backend for one-time analysis and is not stored after processing.

How we use your data

Your data is used strictly to power your own personal tracking experience: showing your history, calculating your macros and progress, powering the AI coach's personalized advice, and enabling step challenges with friends you choose to join. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services we use

Firebase (Google): handles account authentication and stores your synced data (Firestore database) securely.
Cloudflare Workers: powers the AI coach and food-photo scanning by relaying your questions/photos to Anthropic's Claude API and Google Cloud Vision, and looking up nutrition data via USDA FoodData Central. These requests are used only to generate your response and are not used for advertising.

We do not use any third-party advertising networks, and we do not share your personal data with advertisers.

Step challenges & sharing

If you join a step challenge, other members can see the data you've chosen to share (steps, workouts, and/or calories, based on your share settings) alongside your display name. You control what's shared and can leave a challenge at any time.

Data retention & deletion

Your data stays in your account until you delete it. You can export your data or reset/delete your local data at any time from Settings. To delete your account and all associated cloud data entirely, contact us using the email below.

Children

FITYFIT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
